We perform so hard at getting “better people”, at developing higher intelligence and more skills. We wish to be enjoyed more and become more popular. The whole self-help business is focused on increasing the self to help you turn into a greater you. That’s still another trick a course in miracles podcast we secretly play on ourselves, thinking we’ve to help keep rotating our wheels wanting to become better. That self-improvement sport is another key we can to learn to let go of. It’s very enjoyable when you begin to appreciate that you do not have to become much better than you previously are. You had been made perfect. It’s not through self-improvement that you will find peace but through self-acceptance.
As I worked with A Program in Miracles, I really could note that there was a concern with heavenly enjoy in my mind. I recognized this was the ego’s fear of losing itself. The ego is scared of being subjected and being viewed as a smoke of nothingness. That’s driving a car of intimacy. We talk about that concern in associations, which may also be projected as anxiety about sexual closeness, but it’s really a fear of falling our individuality, our disguise of individuality. It is the fear of getting taken out by way of a glorious enjoy, a love therefore effective that none people can also envision something as wonderful and effective!
For me personally, those would be the huge secrets, as it does not start with this specific good awareness. It always begins with feeling like you have performed something wrong, whether you’ve masturbated, stolen something, mistreated some body, or there is something in your mind that you’ve judged as so hideous that that you do not actually want to face it, you would like to overlook about any of it and force it out of awareness.
Underneath those thoughts and feelings, could be the opinion that individuals are separated. This is actually the “secret” we hide. It is actually an impossible belief, but we believe it is true; We have evaluated it as horrible and have pushed it out of awareness. All unconscious guilt comes from this belief in separation. And as you truly provide yourself over to the wonder, you’re feeling dozens of concealed beliefs and techniques are now being washed away and you eventually experience this concealed belief in divorce!
